In Loving Celebration of Whitney
February 27, 1985 - Oct 15, 1999

Whitney was one of 9 puppies. She was adopted in a pair, her and her sister Meghan. Whitney developed many of the traits you so frequently hear of in Dobermans, well-behaved, obedient, protector, yet so lovable, not a chewer, but loved to play with tennis
balls and other fun toys. She was a dog who always wanted to be right by your side, even if it was a few feet or a short trip to the bathroom! Some times she was affectionately called "Velcro Dog". She lived in a household with a pool, and although she did not seem to like water, she would comically drop her toys in the pool and then bark for her mom to get them for her. Fortunately, Whitney was blessed with a long and healthy life (not negating the frequent times she would cut her feet on just about anything).

One Sunday she got sick, and four days later she had a stroke - she couldn't get up at all. Her human companion had to make the dreadful decision most of us hope never to make. The vet came to her house, and she was able to transition to her
next life passage in the loving arms of her human friends and animal companion (see Miss Levi's story under Cats). Whitney will be deeply missed by NEVER forgotten.
