Rusty and Sandy
Rusty shown here on the right in purple coloring which express his truely mellow and loving personality. He was adopted from a humane orgainization
who was showcasing dogs at the county fair. His house mates had no intentation of adoping a dog (since they already had two cats), but when they came across him they said that they "just had to have him. It was the best instantaneous decision we ever made." Rusty loves to go on long hikes, have his belly rubbed, sleep with his head on the pillow and is extremely
intellignet (how could you Blame him-he has figured out how to sleep in bed like one of us humans!). Sandy was rescued from a animal shelter in Atlanta, where her loving mom was a volunteer. From the day that she was up for adoption, she knew that there was something different about this girl. Although her mom though she would be better adopted by a family with a yard, when her time was up, she just could not bear knowing the clock had run out. The crazy thing about it is actually Sandy was trying to tell her mom all along that a yard really never mattered and that she prefers the inside vs. outdoors. Like her name, her color is really that of sand (vs. her purple
appearance here), and since her adoption, has gained back her normal body weigh and appetite. Her full "German" name is actually Sandy Von Shitzenhaus (as she had some severe stomach/pooping issues the first year-phew!) She is a very loyal girl, and will not leave her house mates alone (including the two kitties she share the house with). What lucky doggies these two are to have found their human companions and they to find them both!
