Pink Nest with Blue Jay Feather
One of my early paintings is this little nest of pinks and purples, overcrowded by 5 eggs of different colors. To me it shows the complications caused when a nest holds too many eggs (or you are juggling too many things in life). Some times some of those things (ideas) never hatch. The mother cannot take care of everyone well or adequately. The blue jay feather placed horizontally struggles to balance the heavily weightiness of the eggs, while reflecting similar colors of the one blue egg, and the possibility of connection to or contribution to the overweighed nest. Balance is an important things.....like grandmother always said...don't put all your eggs in one basket!
