In loving celebration of Miss Levi
March 17, 1978 - Oct 26, 1999

Levi was born in Palmetto, Ga. She was mostly gray, with touches of honey, a small body, petite little girl she was. As a young kitten she brought home tokens of her appreciation, mostly moles and chipmunks and frequently bugs of all kinds-some which looked almost prehistoric! Her favorite people food was cantaloupe and tuna juice (what cat wouldn't), and chicken ranked in her top 5 as well. When Levi was 7, she was introduced to a new sister, Whitney a black and red doberman. They soon became the best of friends. Whitney would nudge Levi to lick her face and ears to be cleaned. The day Whitney died, Levi came over and laid down right on top of Whitney, as if to say good-bye one last time. Soon after Whitney's passing, Levi started to decline quickly. 11 days later Levi died in the arms of her life long rescuer. She describes her thoughts that the combination of old age and a broken heart helped Levi decide it was time. At almost 22 years, Levi showed all of us that preciousness of the relationship we have with our animals, and those in which they have relating with others.
