JJ - Retired Racetrack Greyhound

The plight of animals used for exhibition and/or entertainment around the world is quite distressing. I have experienced the trauma and drama behind racing greyhounds personally. I am so saddened to see them muzzled and required to run and chase a fake bunny for sport/gambling. Much like racehorses, if they don't consistently bring in a good purse, they are quickly shuttled off to their next phase, which in most cases is their demise. Fortunately there are still good people out there creating opportunities for them to be rescued from a not so nice life at the "track" and many are finding wonderful loving homes vs. being put down once their day in the limelight is over. Consider adopting one of these sweet and gentle dogs if you are looking for a companion for yourself or your family. But I have to warn you, they are couch potatoes!
