Bubba Boy

Bubba, like so many other abandoned and homeless kitties, lived on his own for many years - mostly because he did not have a choice. Fortunately for him, and in his elder years, he found his way into the heart of a true animal lover, who made her home his new "love nest". Bubba was by far one of the most loving and affectionate kitties, and always made room to welcome and "play surrigate" to anyone new who happened to join the household ; (two or four legged). His "Joe Cool" attitude, and big loving body and face made him the favorite of all the females in the household. Bubba sadly is no longer with us, but his image allows this cool cat to live on in our minds and our hearts.

Did you know that there are millions on animals each year like Bubba that are euthanised in shelters around the country (US). Recent survey results reveal shocking numbers, that roughly 64% or more of the total number of animals that entered shelters are killed by gas or lethal injection. In a sampling of 1000 shelters, that equals over 2.7 million animals A YEAR!!! And 71% of them happen to be cats. Did you know that only 15% of dogs and 2% of cats that enter animal shelters are reunited with their owners.

How can it be that it is so widely accepted that 9.6 million animals are euthanized annually in the United States?
