About Me:

Bask in the warmth and the brightness of the colors of my paintings, dance with the playfulness of the characters which have graced our lives, and take in the love and respect offered to this earth and its creatures which flows openly from my site.

Peruse through as many sections as you like, making sure to stop and look at my new additions in the Gallery of Pictures and Stories.

"Art with a Conscience" is about waking,
being receptive, and living life aware of all those beautiful things around me. Whether you are a singer, writer, dancer, gardener, home builder, busy executive, student, or in transition, you possess your own special talents and creative gifts. And it is those creative endeavors which leads to the corridor of our true-life passions. Following your passions can be very therapeutic, expressive and meaningful if you can find the right outlet! And, it can lift one's spirits, help heal, reveal inner emotions, and ultimately allow us to find beauty of this earth, and in each other.

photo: Liz & Gibson in 2004. Gibson sadly passed away on Oct 22nd 2009. He was 17, and lived an amazing, great long life with my friend Richie. He will be missed but his memory will live on forever. I have always loved this picture of him because he's smiling at Richie so adoringly. And if you look close, he's got his paw over my leg like he was really posing for the shot. What a hambone!

I realize in a logical perspective, that I am not going to be able to broadly change the world, but I know I can be an advocate of change. I know that I cannot rescue every animal in need, but little by little, I can help one animal at a time. I know, I can make a difference!

Like songwriters and musicians who create music to tribute others, my paintings are a tribute to animals and people.

Although loss was the instrument to activate this adventure, and rescue continues to be the catalyst which compels me to stay actively involved, I hope that my energies create a forum for change, offer new channels for awareness, and most importantly speak to those viewers who entered this space either by accident or divine intervention! As one of my favorite quotes from Dr. Wayne Dyer states, "we are but spirit having a human experience, vs. human beings having a spiritual experience".

Did You Know : Ever wonder what's in your pets food, or how to "leave a donation" in your name after your passing to an animal organization? Ever wonder why certain species are dying off and how you can help prevent further extinction?

Visit this section and read about interesting topics and links to other sites which provide guidance on topics such as these (related to animals, the planet and people).

Silence, they say, is the voice of complicity. But silence is impossible. Silence screams. Silence is a message, just as doing nothing is an act. Let who you are ring out & resonate in every word & every deed. Yes, become who you are. There's no sidestepping your own being or your own responsibility. What you do is who you are.

You are your own comeuppance.
You become your own message. You are the message."
